| 1332990 | 2013-03-17 03:55:00 | There is no docs and settings folder in Win7. Everything is under the users folder. Thats why you cant find it, it doesnt exist in Win7 Coldot wrote,_ "My two PCs with Win7 - each has c:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles. That's as seen in Windows Explorer." And I wrote,_ "Documents and Settings is not visible on C. Ava find says it is there and has 0 KB." and,_ "Documents and Settings is not (visible); Ava Find says it is there, but having 0.00 contents may be the reason it is not displayed. You haven't been paying attention Speedy. it may be invisible on your computer too. |

And the programdata folder As it says here (www.tomshardware.com) here (4sysops.com) Look in Google next time. |

Just makes simple things difficult for no good reason. Another effort from the good folk at the OCOSA. (Organisation for the Complication of Otherwise Simple Affairs). :) |

Microsoft seems to enjoy creating multiple paths and then hiding some of them. On checking history I see that I had to take ownership of \Documents and Settings in order to reach that state. While I accept that MS protects me by restricting access to Administrator data, I want to be allowed to look at everything else on my computer. | coldot (6847) | ||

Regards your link, you really have to study a site like that to decide if it is informed, spurious or malicious. It doesn't really clarify things in my opinion. |

Said people could never explain why they were angry! |
