1307654 2012-10-20 01:19:00 Nor am I complaining but pointing out .

I have contacted a couple of agencie but I had not much success with temping . I had more success some years ago with less work history when I work as a temp with short term contracts ie . , 4 weeks or 3 months . Ie . , photocopying, collating, doing the agendas and the minutes etc .

I am now in regular contact with two or three after their initial interview .

I have pretty much only worked in govt that is admin or in the finance team . Before I was looking at the private sector but didn't have much if any success . There are recruitment companies which ask for interest for a few diff job titles like accounts admin, payroll, etc without mentioning a JD or a company name; re: short term or temping but didn't hear a squeak . Those adverts get advertised repeatedly, but if I reapply for them I cannot b/c the system says I have already applied .

1307657 2012-10-20 06:42:00 Yes I had to take a significant pay cut and a huge step back down the ladder when I couldn't go back to work in the construction industry, I now work in retail wearing Orange while I get some experience on my CV again gary67 (56)
1307658 2012-10-20 13:39:00 Still, I take my hat off to people like yourself who are prepared to take a pay cut, just to get a job and keep working, rather than purely relying on the welfare system. Good on ya mate :) Chilling_Silence (9)
