1307484 2012-10-18 22:42:00 Can't understand why your mother does not record it. The technology has been around since the early 80s. Surely she has a video recorder or perhaps a DVD recorder? It's not rocket science, surely?

That aside, it is a damn good series and is not to be missed.

It is a good series, must say I quite enjoy it myself.

Got a VCR but has not been hooked up to our new tv, my dad decided it couldn't be done and I haven't been allowed to even have a look lol

Why would he say it can't be done? Can't be difficult, surely. The aerial is connected to the VCR and the VCR is connected to the telly. Takes all of two minutes. Hey presto, you are ready to record programmes. How hard can it be? I think that you need to convince him that it is a quick, simple and easy job. Then your mum won't miss out on what is an excellent British programme.

Shouldn't be too hard, there's a full composite and rca video ports on the TV that are unused. I'd be very surprised if the VCR wouldn't connect via either of those.

Edit - Just had a quick look at the VCR and it does appear to be rca connectible. Can't see why it wouldn't be able to get up and running.
