| 1306854 | 2012-10-15 01:55:00 | How do you know it's a female? haha i am just guessing, it looks female Kdave may be right, maybe she is nesting EDIT: Funny you say that Zip, i have 2 ponds, the fish in the other pond disappeared over about 1 week, i found a half eaten body when the last one was gone. Trouble was it was only covered with netting with about 50 mm holes so the cat (assuming here it might have been Gollum) was scooping them out. |

| 1306857 | 2012-10-15 03:39:00 | maybe she is nesting . Fish don't nest. Female lays eggs, male adds his bit after. They will eat the eggs - and baby fish too, you need some plants so the babies can hide until they are big enough to avoid being eaten by their parents. |
