1306716 2012-10-14 07:10:00 Online is a *****, people hide behind "fake" identities and abuse. The great thing is (if you are positive) the worst they can do is caps lock you to death. Another bonus is some people use the fact that no one knows them to become well liked internet personalities... I mean y'all like me right :D all jokes aside, some people get great confidence from the internet. Others are abused. It's all about how you react to the situation.

People didn't used to like me when I was younger, I was lippy, arrogant and spun yarns like no mans business. After a good year of being thumped by 7th form I made the mental connection between being smartass and getting a beating. 5 years on I feel like I'm a top lad, a lot more sensible and likeable... I'll let you judge that though! Some people learn through life, others don't. That's the reality. False and shameless bullying disgusts me, I don't think online is any different to life, the difference is in life people could hide it, online the evidence is all around you.

PS, that PC world icon and "Facebook" in the title confused the hell outta me when I looked at my tabs haha

1306717 2012-10-14 07:23:00 Chances are all your friends are already on facebook, good luck convincing them to something else when its easier and more logical for you to do what they are doing, not the other way around.

Why should I use Facebook because my friends are?

1306718 2012-10-15 04:07:00 Right you are. People keep asking me to join Facebook but I refuse. And yet have plenty of friends. I use email and that suits me. ChazTheGeek (16619)

From they typical stupid teenager point of view (which this story is about funnily enough) I would have thought that someone who probably doesn't understand any of the dangers associated with using the internet would have no problem signing up to a service that all their friends are using to talk to them.

1306721 2012-10-15 05:28:00 Some people are their own worst enemies.

Some, for what ever reason put their complete life and what ever they do, think or say to others on places like FB and forums. That sort of thing acts like a open invitation to some people to allow personal attacks.

It's great for entertainment value, but why would you want all your dirty laundry aired out for the world to see?
