2013-03-16 06:28:00 | I am trying to setup windows 7 with my info, like T Bird & Firefox. I need my bookmarks and email addresses; in XP they were in Documents and Settings. Win7 doesn't have Documents and Settings. Ava Find in Win7 tells me they are supposed to be in a place that doesn't exist in Win7's windows explorer! Can anybody tell me where to put them? I have the folders and files on the new machine; I just need to know where they go.

2013-03-16 09:18:00 | My two PCs with Win7 - each has c:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles. That's as seen in Windows Explorer. Check as administrator to see whether those folders have somehow been hidden by default.

2013-03-16 19:33:00 | Windows Explorer (windows key + E), \Tools\Folder Options\View\Show Hidden Files | coldot (6847) | |
2013-03-16 20:53:00 | Windows Explorer (windows key + E), \Tools\Folder Options\View\Show Hidden Files Tools is still invisible, but I found Folder Options in the Organize menu of Windows Explorer. Will try a restart to see if that helps.

2013-03-16 23:27:00 | In that Organize menu you should see an option for Layout - hence to a tick box to turn on Menu bar - the Menu bar will show Tools. | coldot (6847) | |

Appdata is visible now but Documents and Settings is not; Ava Find says it is there, but having 0.00 contents may be the reason it is not displayed. Any ideas how make it visible? I just had an idea, I will try (later) to save, or move something to Documents and Settings and see if that makes a difference. |
