1306840 2012-10-14 20:32:00 Hey, i was checking my fish pond the other day (i inherited them when i brought the house) and one of the fish was in the weeds on her (i think) side but still opening and closing its mouth (breathing?)
So i got a stick and prodded it out of the weed. Then the fish turned upside down??? i was like, ok you are dying i get that.

Funny story but the fish was swimming happily about 2 hours later. I knew it was the same fish as it is the only 1 like it in the pond.

Then the fish disappeared the next day so i thought she had gone off to die... maybe

But!...yesterday she was back :clap for a while and now hiding again

so anyone know what the hell is going on?? :waughh:

1306849 2012-10-14 22:21:00 That can happen. We've had fishponds twice. Found fish escaped nearby, returned to pond, fish seemed OK.

Not sure how long they can survive out of water but I think it's longer than we can go without oxygen.
