I am wanting to use 2 Computers with one printer (Epson). I current have it attached via USB to our main pc, I am wondering if we can attach our laptop to it via the Parallel port so both PCs can print to it.
Is this ok or will I kill the printer? |

If you can't network the 2 pc's (cross over cable?) then a printer switch is probably the way to go. |

Providing the Epson printer has a parallel port access you should have no problem connecting both computers. I have two computers connected via a switch box (Puddney) and it works fine. Wish I could get the same for my USB scanner instead of swapping the cable. |

It won't destroy the printer. It might not work, though. :D It's probably worth a try. I'd network the computers, myself. |
