| 130918 | 2003-03-26 02:11:00 | Hi BJ If you are not using 98SE, there is a simple solution contained within the Win98 help files/trouble shooter accessible off the start button. In essence, you disable "fast shutdown" which may seem like a contradiction but it allow the computer to shut down faster and more reliably. Cutting to the chase, if you want to try this, go to Start>Run and type msconfig. Press enter, select advanced and disable "fast shutdown". Worked for me, W98 original. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
