131260 2003-03-26 21:47:00 I just thought you guys might like to see my networking masterpiece (sal.neoburn.net), I have 6 cables going out the window and stretching from the first floor to the sixth (and hopefully 12'th soon), 4 cables under my door, and 2 cables through the wall (plus my cable), all sharing 1 JetStart connection!

We have a second JetStart connection going in next week, and the white box you see will be running BackOffice Server 2000 (with ISA server), pretty cool huh :D

Of course this network looks like child’s play compared to the one I'm quoting, we've got to $36,000 (+GST) and that’s just for the switches!

Enjoy, Liam.

Door Long Shot (sal.neoburn.net)
Door Close Up (sal.neoburn.net)
Window Inside (sal.neoburn.net)
Window Outside (sal.neoburn.net)

Enjoy, Liam.

131264 2003-03-27 01:35:00 Hey Liam, I bought that RTA300 router like you said, works great.. Thing is I am having trouble networking the comps to the win95 machine. Wanna help me a bit? :) PoWa (203)

Hey Liam - reminds me of flying into Kai Tak (sp?) airport - the old airport in Hong Kong.

All those washing lines and things coming out of windows!

Makes my RTA300 look distinctly underutilised!

How are they sharing that connection??? e.g. throw ICS or throw a router???

Also are you using a network hub?
