| 131216 | 2003-03-27 00:49:00 | hi, i have a toshiba satellite 2210cdt, on which the physcial USB port has become u/s thorough pin damage, as it is part of the mother board it is some what of and expensive fix.... recently while listening to a radio programme, regarding the use of external USB2 hard drives, i got the impression it was possible to "upgrade" a USB1 port via an external USB2 card connected via the PC Card slot - is this true? is this a simple solution to my USB problem? cheers will wright |

| 131217 | 2003-03-27 01:41:00 | It looks like you could buy a PCMCIA Usb2 port for $115 or more. Do a quick search on Google to find the suppliers. I would imagine that it would cost more than that to repair the motherboard and Usb2 is backward compatible with Usb1. | Gorela (901) | ||
