Dasypygal

Having hairy buttocks

There ought to be a prize for the first person to weave that one into an open conversation, like: "You should have been at the party last night robo, you never saw such dasypygal lot in your life. I told Ethel not to look, but it was too late, she got mooned.

Billy 8-{) ]:)

There also oughta be a prize for the first person who
can identify the origins of Ethel and her dreadful fate.
There isn't, but try anyway, go ahead and show your age.

SPOKEN: Once again, your Action News reporter in the booth

Too late. She'd already gotten a free shot. Grandstand.
Right there in front of the home team.

Whoa, yes they call him The Streak ["zipppp" kazoo sound]

CLOSING: Not totally decipherable because 3 things are going on at once.
Ray is singing a verse and the backup singers are doing (Looka dat, looka dat)
while Ray, on an overlaid track is speaking [Fastest thing on two feet]
"Ethel! Is that you Ethel? [He's just as proud as he can be]
What do [of his anatomy] you think you're doin? [He gonna give us a peek]
You get your clothes on !!" Whoa, yes they call him The Streak ["zipppp" kazoo sound]
"Ethel, where you goin'? [He likes to show off his physique] Ethel, you

131597 2003-03-28 05:06:00 Too late!!! :D I bet you by 5 minutes - the prize (or lack of) is mine :D

That is the right answer isn't Billy?
Jen C (20)
131598 2003-03-28 05:10:00 It took me 5 minutes to pin down the year of release :D. Knew it was around '73 or '74. Got a shock when I saw you had already replied. At least it means I'm not the only one who remembers that era.

Cheers

(Oops, I mean Jen, sorry :8})

Note how you have to go down through the verses to find that line though . Poor old Ethel got a real faceful :D

Now, can you do the voice and accent?

Cheers

Given enough liquid encouragement I probably could ;\, but alas, lucky for everyone, I have been banned from singing in public places even with Susan B as a duet (in-house ChatF1 joke) B-)

131602 2003-03-28 10:07:00 I remember the 70's (sort of)

131603 2003-03-29 10:24:00 Before I slip this into a conversation and describe a certain part of a dear friend's anatomy... how does one correctly pronounce "dasypygal"? Perhaps a useful addition to WFTWE#..., etc, would be a breakdown of the pronounciation so that we can all dazzle our social circles with our articulate brilliance... then it would the UWFTWE#...
