131391 2003-03-27 10:20:00 I just installed NIS on my computer, and it's stopping me from viewing some websites. The websites are perfectly legal, they are clean, and work before I enable NIS.

I can't find where there are settings in NIS which tell me which websites are blocked, and for what reason.

Any ideas?

131392 2003-03-27 10:53:00 disable the parent control filter.. unless of course you have kids and dont want them looking at porn/warez/etc

open up the NIS control panel, and click options > Internet Security

Then click on the web content tab and add the sites you want to view, making sure that you set all the applicable options to "allow"

if you want to view why they were blocked, try going back to the NIS control panel and clicking on "statistics" and then "view logs"
