| 131761 | 2003-03-28 15:19:00 | I recently had to reinstall WinXP home edition after a serious crash and had unfortunately not made a recent backup. I did not format the drive but did overwrite the previous windows folder. Installation went fine and I set up a new account (administrator) as the previous identity was lost. Looking through the documents and settings folder I could see folders for my new account, guest accounts etc. There was also a folder with my old account name but when I click on it I get an access denied prompt and I can't open it. Is there any way to get around this as there are a few files on that accounts desktop that I would like to retrieve so I don't have to download them again. thanks ravage |
