132357 2003-03-31 04:26:00 Do you happen to have Cosmo Virtual Makeover installed on your PC? If so, it may have changed your image files to default to a Virtual MakeOver File. Not sure how to change your default image extension though sorry. honeylaser (814)
132358 2003-03-31 04:50:00 Bazza, I am not sure whether you mean this or not. I presume when you download from your digital camera to your computer the images are entitled John VMO for example and you want to change the image to John Jpeg. My imaging programme allows me to do this. I open the picture in my Imaging programme eg Ulead Photo Express . after I have edited the photo I then save it. When I click on the Save button a drop down list is presented and I then choose which type I want to save in for example Jpeg ot Tif or..or..

Hope this helps

132359 2003-03-31 04:59:00 I assume you are using the "Save" option in whatever software you use to get the photos. Try "Save As" and see if it gives you other types. There may be an "Options" thing to set the filetype default. Have a browse through all the menu bar buttons. :D Graham L (2)
132360 2003-03-31 10:06:00 Just remember that jpgs are compressed files so if you want to edit them (crop, tint, resize etc) it pays to do it off the original rather than a jpg.

Unless you're really short of room on the disk then keep the originals in the original format and change to jpgs as required.
