Firstly, did you downloaded either of the programs recommended by Gorela? Ad-aware 6 is really good and simple to use. It will get rid of the spyware including the one in Kazaa (which also means it will no longer work!). You may wish to use instead Kazaa-Lite which is spyware free. (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) How do I get rid of SPAM? (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) BTW, you shouldn't post your home email address as this is on open invitation to the spambots to send some your way. | 132301 | 2003-03-31 00:10:00 | Hi Mike You didn't say what the offending pop-up says. That can help identify the source and we can give better advice. I also suggest that you try SpyBot as well. Sometimes one program picks up on some thing the other missed. When it has finished its scan, tick everything listed and allow it to delete the lot. This may take a little while as it will clean out your temporary internet files and cookies. You will have to logon to your favourite sites again including PF1 but that's no hassle as long as you remeber your logon & password :p Cheers Billy 8-{) |
