132240 2003-03-30 11:31:00 hi,

i listen to streaming radio staions that are provided in www.winamp.com and would like to know if the stuff that gets streamed gets saved anywhere. And if i could access them offline?

132241 2003-03-30 13:21:00 Only a small "buffer" portion is kept at any one time.

Search Google for:
saving streaming audio

There should be some programs capable of saving it to a file, depending on the source.

132243 2003-04-01 03:04:00 There is a program avaliable called Total Recorder which records whatever comes out of the speakers.
Good for streaming audio because there is an option to not record blank noise (e.g. dead air), so if your 56k connection stutters, you don't have to worry about that being recorded.

132244 2003-04-01 04:11:00 I use Real Encoder 5.1 to save streaming audio as .rm "Real media" files. Terry Porritt (14)
132245 2003-04-01 04:56:00 I explained how to do this ages ago, but can't even recall myself how to do it. Perhaps try a search on the PressF1 files via the Search link above. Greg S (201)
