| 132236 | 2003-03-30 11:25:00 | hi, i tried to play a .avi file in windows media player 8 but it said something about codec and failed to play. so i went to www.divx.com and downloaded the codec with the player but now i get picture only and no sound. i have two computers, one win Xp and win 200 but the samething happended to both of them. can anybody help? thank you |

| 132239 | 2003-03-30 22:44:00 | small warning............codec packs can cause you a few nghtmares as the codecs they install may not be compataible with your system. i suggest installing codec/filters one at a time and only the ones you need. codec packs can be very handy but if you don't know how to repeir things if they go wrong then its wise to stay clear from them. | tweak'e (174) | ||
