| 132208 | 2003-03-30 08:23:00 | work node XP Pro reboots continuosly after clicking ok on lsass.exe error popup box F8 gets into safe mode with same scenario clicking ok in popup cant load last good settings either Restore CD failed to repair data on pc not backed up (clown has only Burner in office!) only advice online is reinstall any XP guru out their? micro$oft has no fix |

Also in future partition C: to a smaller size and back up image file using drive image or nortons ghost onto cdrs or another HDD |

On that CD after booting into X there is a registry restore tool. Restore your registry to when it worked last. |

Who knows? One day one of us may face the same problem and find the right solution from btgreen1's post. I also just noticed that the connotation "$" was even used when come to mentioning "Microsoft" back in 2003! :D Cheers :) |

Just a small amendment to this, it is the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows that is needed: http://ubcd4win.com/ ....not the one from here:> http://www.ultimatebootcd.com Just be aware that the latest version 3.03 requires a patch to be applied after expanding the downloadable file, otherwise an expiration message appears when the UBCD GUI comes up. The registry restore tool is found from Start-Programs-Registry Tools-Registry Restore Wizard. This would be quite a useful CD to have in ones 'toolbox', especially if a HDD cloned backup or image has not been made. |
