| 132196 | 2003-03-30 07:14:00 | Hi, I have a P2 233 with 320MB of ram (I know, overkill!), win98, each time I start up the system checks the memory 3 times, (counts the ram 3 times) then all operates normally. This is not a real problem because everything works fine, only start up time is lengthened, but I would like to know if this can be repaired/remedied... Any thoughts? cheers, richard. |

| 132198 | 2003-03-30 07:59:00 | if you mean you want to reduce the boot time ie: stop the ram being checked 3 times... go into the bios ( usually don't by pressing the "del" key or "F2" ) and look in boot options and and look for something like "quick post" - enable/diable or something similar :-) |
