| 132065 | 2003-03-30 00:32:00 | Hi, I recently installed XP home on my computer. Everything is fine... except: With outlook express. When clicking on an embedded email address in explorer i get a message along the lines of 'your current email client has encountered an error'. The computer slows right down and further investigation showed 100% CPU usage. Not bad since it has a P4 2.53Ghz Intel chip, and the only application open is outlook express. I tried reinstalling outlook express from CD. No luck. Any ideas?? Disorder |

| 132066 | 2003-03-30 01:01:00 | hi disorder, are you able to try another email client? try downloading mozilla, it comes with an email client (you may have it on a pcworld cover disc?) http://www.mozilla.org/ OR if you have office, install that and use outlook (outlook is not equal to outlook express.. they are two totally different programs. just a FYI ;) ) or there are any number of other email clients out there, a quick google search will reveal a lot.. you'll want to find a win32 binary from a reputable place like sourceforge or freshmeat |
