| 133170 | 2003-04-03 11:28:00 | Weird????? :| Mine says 63389 but I have not run live updated or NAV has not said to me about installing any updated?????:| I am on a ADSL Internet connection over a home LAN=network) Can any tell me why this is happing???? I dont really mind but I just want to how it is updating with out be knowing... when I have change the setting to let me know |

| 133171 | 2003-04-04 08:42:00 | Hi stu I can't answer your question about how, but I can confirm that NAV has been ignoring the manual update setting for some months now. It seems to affect only Nav2001 but I could be wrong on that. It only happens on my W98 box too (Old Faithfull) and the W2K PIII pretenders have to be manually updated. I gave up worrying about it after a few weeks when I found that it had saved me from the Bugbear virus by updating at switch-on the morning the virus first hit in strength. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
