| 133068 | 2003-04-03 02:52:00 | On my old win95 machine I had a 'Pinnacle Systems' PCTV card through which I recorded many video files from my camcorder. The software used a 'Brooktree' video codec to prodice '.AVI' files. In order to play these files on WIN** machines, I put the codec into the windows/system directory, and added the pointer to this file to the system.ini file. ie; Put BTVVC32.drv into windows/system/ In system.ini [Drivers32] add VIDC.BT20=BTVVC32.drv VIDC.Y41P=BTVVC32.drv VIDC.YVU9=BTVVC32.drv I now have a WindowsXP machine and cannot play these files. How can I get Windows XP to recognise this codec to play these .avi files.? |
