133914 2003-04-06 22:24:00 Hey guys, ok im trying to get dc++ (nz p2p program) to work with my dse adsl router..andits not going. I have tried creting a pinhole for it but it still wont work.....any advice from anyone? sjbryce (2129)

open up 411, 412, 1411 and 1412 on both TCP and UDP and make sure they are pointing at your computer's IP.

the other thing that can help is if you sign up for a dynamic dns service like no-ip.com. Sign up and create a host redirect eg sjbryce.no-ip.org
Then download the no-ip duc, this is a small program that updates your ip to the service, so that when someone types in sjbryce.no-ip.org their request gets automatically bounced to your ip.

after that open up dc++ and set your connection to active, put sjbryce.no-ip.org (or whatever you choose) in the IP field, and usually the port is 1412
