1334429 2013-03-28 20:21:00 Hi colleagues F1-arians, I need a new modem (or pre-loved one). My requirements are for a good all round modem that has solid wired and wireless quality.

Ideas?

1334431 2013-03-29 00:48:00 I apologise for posting this twice, here and in pressf1 sections, but there seems to be no interest on the 'other' side :o

I either need a new modem or a wireless range extender. My requirements are for a good all round modem that has solid wired and wireless quality.

My current modem (lynksis) is fairly solid with wired connection though quite weak on the wireless side of things and does not spread throughout the house.

Any advice?

1334432 2013-03-29 01:21:00 I get from the router (Down the far end of my house), right the way through two three closed wooden doors and one wall, all the way through my home and to the end of our driveway (Total 40m?) with this:

1334434 2013-03-29 02:09:00 True CS, however I saw other threads getting answers and views on mine were around 64 with no answer, so I thought maybe the topic was more suited for this side. ;) Sanco (683)
1334435 2013-03-29 02:13:00 Sorry bud, I am a neofite on these things. Do I get this gargoyle is just a firmware update for my existing modem? That would be too good to be true, so I guess I did not understand the post. Sanco (683)
1334436 2013-03-29 03:16:00 Now that you're in the chat forum, I can offer you the free modem I posted in an earlier thread (July 2012) It's still available

1334438 2013-03-29 04:29:00 Not your existing one, you have to have a few specific types.

You would want a Draytek DV120 for the modem, then the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND for the router / wireless.
