1308610	2012-11-05 01:50:00	Thanks for the concern . The news isn't all good unless you are in favor of what I'm about to say (you know who you are) . But --- I will be 'going dark' (NZ= I'm not dying, just curtailing internet things a lot) on December 1st, 2012 . I wish to thank everyone here who has contributed to me feeling good about myself and all the fun things I've learned by/from/about all of you . Your patience with me has been well noted and documented . I even sent all your names to the FBI so they could send you a nice letter of appreciation . Sadly, at this time it appears as though my trip to Upsidedown Land is postponed for a long, long time if not forever . And NO - it's not because I'm on the 'A Known Terrorist: No Fly List' . That is be the biggest disappointment of my life to me . (Not the list) - but I really wanted to see if youse guys had prehensile tails or not, so youse could hang onto your hemisphere by them and not fall off the earth . Before I forget: Metla still owes me a few cold ones - but at this time I release him from his promise to me made oh-so-many moons ago . Go ahead Met - be a bud and drink them in my name at least - OK? I've still got the pix of you lying on your couch (NZ= 'couuch') and drinking a cold (NZ= 'could' - see? that extra 'U' doesn't work at all) one . If I get better, I'll look around here and try to send you an operator's manual for a Bobcat so you don't forget and grab the wrong control lever again . I saw that 'accident' you caused in the side of that building a few years ago in the NZ Herald . But I digress: My health has forced me to cease my online activities as much as I have done so in the past . I won't ditch my subscription here, but I won't be here as much and may only stop by once a month or so . I don't want to get all Maudlin on yers, but this heart condition isn't 'rectifying' - if that's an appropriate word . I've decided that I'll continue swinging an 8lb log splitter from time to time as that doesn't seem to exacerbate the heart problem in any way - and besides: isn't exercise good for the heart? I know that absence isn't good for the heart though and I'll miss all the good times and the installations of Linux that went terribly wrong every time I tried it . Good joke by youse guys! I'm still laughing . I'd like to begrudgingly thank the TECH-Side of F1 for their helping/letting me try to use Linux . (Emphasis on 'try') . Notice the smirk on my face . :yuck: Linux is a mean trick . My opinion is that like the Dodo, Linux doesn't really exist (although, also like the Dodo it MIGHT have once upon a time) and it is just a cruel joke that is designed to punish Yanks (the noun, not the verb) by erasing all their data by giving a false hope that anyone can Dual-Boot such a thing . 'Anyone' cannot . Do so, that is . There's an international problem here too: I really need youse guys to correct your errant ways and get Ye back to measurements by The king's Nose & Forearm & Other Appendages . Things would go ever so much better in the world if youse guys did that . Sillimeters are just wrong on too many levels about which to speak . Oh - and gettith Thee to the correct side of the road too . It's for youses own good when the US troops finally get around to invading youse guys . They will be driving on the correct side and any of youse on the wrong side will get a 5 INCH armor* (* NOTICE -- there's NO extemporaneous 'U' in that - or ANY word - ya'll dig?) - piercing round up yer backsides or be flattened by many tons* (NZ= a big weight) of reclaimed nuclear spent fuel rods . * I know youse guys say: 'Tonne' but I have no idea who 'Tonne' is, and frankly I think Italians are a bad influence on yez anyway . This impending invasion is obviously because of the Kim-Dot-Com fiasco . It made all the newspapers and now something has to be done about it in public: someone has got to be spanked! And before youse thinks it's about the oil which youses don't have anyway; it's an entirely different matter this time . Ya see: the US Prez is still licking his wounds over that Kim-Dot-Com black eye, and the RIAA/MPAA is again barking at his shins - and as youse knows by now: as the US-RIAA/MPAA goes, so goes the rest of the world . The invasion is planned for a dark and stormy night when you least expect it . Stay alert: assume the position to be spanked . In days passed, I prolly wrote more long-winded booklets and diatribes on this site than anywhere else where I've been associated on line . Remember that I got invited here (you know who you are) - so it's your party and I'm just a gleeful visitor . It was a labor of intense love even though some may not have seen it that way . Now I have to realign my conversations back to my wife - who will rue this day I bet . See what a habit youse guys is and have become in my life? My wife just blinks when I tell her about Linux and how youse guys use it all the time . Was she in on the joke? Hmmmmmmmmm . :confused: With very few exceptions, I'll miss each and every one of you like you are family - the good side of the family for the most part . The 'good side' of the family are those who don't drink outta the milk container or leave a wet teaspoon in the sugar bowl . You know that type huh?
