| 1308327 | 2012-10-23 19:28:00 | Its a bit of a slow slide to nothing for apple atm. I actually feel a bit sad that they haven't bought anything "new" to the market. Steve really was the driving force behind the company that kept it at the forefront of "innovation" whether it was innovation or not he made people believe so which is the key essence to marketing. iPad mini brings nothing to the market, the "new" iPad, well what can I say, more of a refresh than "a new version" yet it is incompatible with everything else. The iMac line remains solid, incremental upgrade but that's normal with PC's. To me it looks like the new executives are doing everything that steve didn't want but without much foresight or planning, constantly pushing consumers with "new" stuff so hard is going to be a turnoff I think, if android OEM's can hurry up and get some clean marketing and revised designs they should pick up some customers. Get rid of the UI's, stock android for all and keep the devices updated. Learn from iPhone, ONE device for the world (yes Samsung, i'm talking to you!) perhaps a few lower end ones but fr gods sake! no more than 4x devices and Don't put your flagship name on the low end devices!! Some WindowsPhone Marketing would be great too, WP is so awesome yet we don't hear a bell of it here. It's almost like Zune all over again. Surface and WP are just not getting any publicity. |

| 1308328 | 2012-10-23 19:36:00 | WP is not getting the attention it deserves. Ballmer thinks it is because the letters in it's name don't suit, are too far down the alphabet, etc. (Like the Zune.) Consequently they have renamed it the Windows Catchette; sooner or later everybody needs a WC. |

Might be seen as a benchmark but many common consumers. Probably simpler in terms of production and management too. Given the cost of the iPad mini would be more affordable with the 2 inch smaller size screen and reduced reso ... I think it would sway some of those going to other brands back to Apple. Unveiled as $479, the Asus Nexus is $399 at least from the chain stores DSE. It's competitive. .. |

Me, I'm a consumer and I like choice (quality, performance, features, price etc). With Apple, the only consumer choice is capacity and colour (you can have Black. Or White) |
