2012-10-27 03:50:00 | Try broadening your horizons and research this before you start throwing the dummy en.wikipedia.org Application software, also known as an application or an app, is computer software designed to help the user to perform specific tasks. Examples include enterprise software, accounting software, office suites, graphics software and media players. Many application programs deal principally with documents. Apps may be bundled with the computer and its system software, or may be published separately ... which therefore suggests that MS Office, Win MediaPlayer, Paint etc etc are all apps Get used to the idea, PC's use apps

2012-10-27 04:22:00 | My understanding is a Windows 8 App will work on both the x86/64 version and Windows 8 RT. | Alex B (15479) | |
2012-10-27 04:33:00 | That doesn't qualify as a "extreme rant" - you need twice as many words, with uppercase making up at least 10% of the content. :p A program does something decent - an app throws birds at pigs or something equally trivial. :p

2012-10-27 06:08:00 | I believe the word we're after is 'runt'. Especially if you're Scottish. By good fortune and skilful choice of ancestors I have no antecedents from any part of the Lucas Islands, aka poverty rock, but the wee Haggis reeking phrase has a bonny ring to it. App-a-runtly it works fine.

Thanks Jen  The question I have is, do I care? The answer is no . . . . Glad you arent getting stressed out by it Metla, but at least you found the time to post which always provides a laugh here . Cheers :D Apps = Apps for mobiles devices, Apps dont = Programs for PC's!, so they should stay as Programs for PC's! . Thats kind of how I see it also . |
