| 1308949 | 2012-10-26 03:38:00 | I got a $89.99 Windows 8 Pro upgrade from Noel Leeming in Invercargill. I hate going into Harvey Normans - their loud music puts me off. I needed to get out and mow the lawns before it rains again. I am about to have a go at installing it. |

| 1308952 | 2012-10-26 07:57:00 | Vista? ;) Got one disk and one download version - went full way through the installs and right at end tells me it can't install - no reason given, no error code, no hints at all. Hoping it is anti-virus or something like that but said at beginning there were no conflicts so mystery so far. Both PC's running Windows 7 - high spec - didn't expect issue at all. |

| 1308956 | 2012-10-26 23:00:00 | So for ~$170 I can get an Apple-ised version of Windows XP, or for free I can get a more stable OS in Linux - which does actually have real improvements each update (kernel, filesystem, desktop - doesn't require AV, spyware detector, root kit detection etc etc) Decisions decisions I have better things to spend money on... |
