Exactly, so these impostors collected their wages every week on the pretext they could make such a prediction. Come the event and the truth is revealed. They cant and have therefore collected their wages under false pretences. Good work from the Judge throwing the book at them. Scared the hell out of 5000 odd other imposters too by the sound of it. :D |

Too much money going to mafia kickbacks instead of decent building practices. Yeah, do we imprison the weatherman when it rains, or when a tornado strikes (or doesn't strike) where and when they predict? Stupid verdict, and bad for science. |

| 1308247 | 2012-10-23 23:49:00 | Useless? We know more about earthquakes and volcanos than we used to. Hardly useless. Other than dutifully recording about 20,000 earthquakes a year in NZ, what mind blowing revelation has been achieved? Has there actually been one? What actually has our Pseudo Scientists achieved other than waste Taxpayers money? :groan: |

Youve overlooked the fact that Ken Ring isnt Taxpayer funded, so is spending his own money. What someone does with their own money doesnt worry me, but what they do with mine does. ;) |

Stupid verdict, and bad for science . Nope . There's a far better and hugely cheaper way . Use the carrot - not the stick . Pay the forecasters only when they are correct . |
