You need to own Windows 8. It obviously won't work with other OS's.

1309112 2012-10-27 12:53:00 Yeah I just finished installing it. It doesn't work :( works perfectly in 7 so they have managed to break it. I get sound but no picture trying to watch freeview, the guide still only does now/next not the full guide, the radio gives me no sound at all.
All in all not a great start, no doubt it's a codec issue and will get fixed eventually when they decide to care about our little corner of the market. what's frustrating is the media centre in windows 7 is one of the things I like the most, it is easy to set up and works flawlessly with my tuner. I'm trying to get past my initial impressions and like windows 8, but so far it's not impressing me.

1309113 2012-10-27 20:50:00 I would say its your computer, not MCE. I installed it the other day too, and scanned for channels, it picked up 20. And yup the picture is fine. Dont have sound, because I need to connect a 3.5 cable from the case to the monitor. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1309114 2012-10-27 21:49:00 Works fine on both my computers. pcuser42 (130)
1309115 2012-10-27 22:35:00 Drivers maybe? icow (15313)
1309116 2012-10-28 02:54:00 yeah a little hasty, it was late and I was frustrated. Graphics driver and a reboot fixed the picture, TV now working. Radio still doesn't though and the guide is something MS show no particular interest in fixing. dugimodo (138)
1309117 2012-10-28 04:40:00 Graphics driver and a reboot fixed the picture

Yeah I couldn't get Media Center to show anything at all on my netbook unless it was set to use integrated graphics instead of the ION chip
