| 134170 | 2003-04-07 11:43:00 | Hi...Just got the latest PC Authority disk with full Partician Magic 6 included but with a note saying that it will not work on XP. My tired old machine (Win98) will soon be replaced by a new model I hope, and most likely with XP, which brings up two questions... 1.Will imaging programs like Ghost and Drive Image now running on Win98 have to be replaced for XP? 2.Will XP versions of Ghost, Drive Image and Partition Magic be backward compatible with Win98. It would be good to know about this sooner rather than later. Thanks for any info on this subject...Ken. |

Usually its disk file system related, in that XP can use NTFS, I have found. Even the latest version of Nero politely refuses to do a full backup of an NTFS HDD. I purchased Ghost 2003 recently and its able to handle the lot. |
