| 134339 | 2003-04-10 05:11:00 | Hi TP I can live with the OS and Apps on the same partition, but I have a pathological aversion to mixing my data with my OS or Apps. I also dislike reinstalling all my apps, especially the newer ones which bleat about registration just because I needed to restore the OS. Hence the recovery CD is a refuge of last resort, and so would be using a set of CD's as these would lack my current data. I have 20 Gigs to play with so, I will partition into C, D, and E, keep my images on E and data on D. I usually load all my minor apps and utilities onto D as well then they stay away from the OS and key apps. Backup images stored on the network will protect me against total HDD failure.
