Jpgs
are called lossey files and are compressed (after you open them a dozen times or more they start to loose information - though the 'normal' person wouldn't notice this'. Used for images and photos

TIFFs
are pure or contain all the data and are usually used by graphic artists because of their stability. They also support transparent backgrounds. used for images and photos.

EPS
Enscapulated post script file. Saves all the data in one file (images and fonts) and combines them so a printer can print them. Saves transparency. Often a print beurau will ask for this file.

CMYK
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black,. Colours used for printing as opposed to screen images.

134595 2003-04-09 20:27:00 Wouldn't it be best to ask the person themselves so they get exactly what they want with you being rather new to computers and not having much time ?:|

I'm sure they wouldnt mind you asking and save yourself a headache.

one who sells and organises the advertising, and a graphics designer to...

and where else do you expect i would get the appropriate information from except from the helpful family of PF!
and to get information that a newbie would understand?

i dont have a problem with this topic, life is going very smooth here...
