134353 2003-04-08 08:33:00 I installed a 50 gig hard drive late last year to capture video but my Pinnacle system says it's capture speed isn't enough.
I am using the new drive just for capture ... my main C drive has sufficient transfer speed.
Is there a way to up the capture speed of the second hard drive?

Thanks

134354 2003-04-08 09:29:00 Is it using DMA? If its in DOS mode or PIO it will be slow.

Does it require an 80 core IDE cable but you are running it with a 40
core? There would be a warning at boot-up time but it may not be seen easily.

We are assuming Windows operating system here, but is that reasonable of us to do so?

134355 2003-04-08 20:21:00 I had a similar sounding problem when I first instaled my 2nd HHD for Pinnacle Studio.

Check the Pimary / Secondary connections to the drives.

Are you saying drive C/ captures ok?

Peter.
