| 134840 | 2003-04-10 07:39:00 | Is there any free servers out there that support both ASP and PHP for testing purposes? I dont have enough harddrive space or ram on my testing pc to install Windows 2000, and linux does not support ASP (well, not microsoft ASP). I do have Red Hat 7.2, if by any chance you can tell me of a program i could use to enable ASP support (and no, i dont mean paying for one such as Chilli!Soft). Obviously this is not going to be a live server, but for me and my friends to test our pages on. Thanks for any help. |

I've just been mucking around with this for the past 3 days :D You can actually get a free developer edition of Chilisoft ASP for several operating systems and webservers. Have a look here (developer.chilisoft.com). They only guarantee that it will work with NT4 and Windows 2000 in the way of Windows operating systems I haven't tried to see if it will run on something else. I did get php and chilisoft ASP coinciding with each other. There is a wee trick to installing it to run with Apache depending on what version you have of apache and it also does not want to run when using the SAPI install of PHP. It does work with the PHP executable though. |
