134813 2003-04-10 04:21:00 I know that if one is downloading several things at once from the internet it slows down the downloads. But if one is uploading something at the same time, does that slow down a download that one might be getting? ssssss (2100)
134814 2003-04-10 04:39:00 Your link to the ISP has a fixed bandwidth. If a packet is coming down the line, there can't be a packet going up the line simultaneously. :D

If you are downloading from a very slow server, you might be able to fill the "gaps'" with packets from an upload. But on average, you will slow down the download.
