| 134664 | 2003-04-10 02:29:00 | It pretty much just worked with ExoTV. And I have made it look better by playing with the settings. Still havent got it to a standard though where I would actually sit and watch it as the decoding is not constant for some reason. Although I have had no real problems with my Flyvideo 2000 card I probably wouldnt recommend buying one. Buy one that doesnt use a Philips chipset and you should have a better time using decoding programs. |

Well, my card supposedly works on a P75 in full-screen (Its pretty light-weight software), and my PC has no worries. Quality is that of TV... No better or worse IMHO |

No better or worse IMHO This subject was done to the death in another thread a few months ago. In my opinion, and as I stated above, its got a lot to do with the compatability (or lack of) with the video card/chipset. If it cant run in overlay mode, its really processor intensive. If it can use overlay mode, its a breeze. |

| 134668 | 2005-03-01 10:33:00 | So can my bottom end Dell 2.4ghz get this done?? Is it possible to make a UHF Aerial?? And where do you get the software from?? Does anyone else get moral issues about this kind of thing?? |

| 134669 | 2005-03-01 10:45:00 | Depends what kind of tv tuner card u get. Most come with software Rusevo. Or u can download software, from the manufacturer's site. Just install that, the drivers and thats it. Just connect it to an outside aerial if u have 1. Most have an output for a TV aerial. 2.4 isnt that low end. Its what I use here! It works fine. Moral issues like what?? Nothing wrong with having a TV tuner in a computer. |

| 134670 | 2005-03-01 12:01:00 | Any suggestitions on purchaing a TV card myTV ia a bit away from the TV andone of would be handy. I would also like to capture analogue video on it for recording to PC @ CD Any makes and fetures better than others? I Run an GEForceII video card and a 1300 athlon processer with 256 Meg Ram, Is it easy to capture sky on them???? My mate has one. Not sure of brand or software but it works well. Not digital though. He can get the UHF channels and they are all clear most of the time. Had some trouble with the voice sync on some channels but after fiddling with some setting he got it to sync fine. There are still problems with some of the channels when they display text. The picture goes all stupid but it is only on a couple of channels it does that. You can make the window as big or small as you like so you can have a tiny window on top of everything else when there is rubbish on but you don't want to miss anything. |

| 134671 | 2005-03-01 19:59:00 | While I have no particular love of Sky I am surprised that the mods have let this thread survive and, at the readiness of posters to state their intentions, as it is clearly about stealing Skys signal and as I read it that is against the forum rules.:annoyed: | theother1 (3573) | ||
| 134672 | 2005-03-01 22:25:00 | I have a Leadtec tv2000 deluxe on my p4,2.2ghz and mainly use it for capturing video from my hi8 camcorder to put onto disc. Works very good and came with a good software package, Ulead video studio7, windvd for watching dvds,fm radio and of course the tv captureing software. If you wamt to research tv cards before you choose which one to buy, check out the reviews at this site..... www.videohelp.com www.tv-cards.com I have to say that i've had no probs with my one and like it a lot. |

| 134673 | 2005-03-01 22:47:00 | Same here Lazydog . Im using that card in this with the leadtek TV tuner program and the same speed CPU . Great program, for recording programs directly to the hdd or DVD . And the expert in the other PC . I use a digital video cam, with firewire to record with, but use Nerovision, or Moviemaker (BUT use Nerovision more) . |
