135107 2003-04-11 22:54:00 How do I stop my sisters looking at my email offline? outlook doesnt even ask for pass TiM©:*) (977)
135108 2003-04-11 23:39:00 This depends on what version of Outlook you're using. I know that Outlook Express has identities, which stop people accessing your emails directly (to set up an Identity, click File - Identities - Manage Identities), but this doesn't stop you from manually copying the files the emails are stored in, transferring them to another identities folder or another computer, and opening them that way (I do this to transfer emails from one computer to another, though I'm not sure if you can do it from one identity to another).

I'm not sure if Outlook has Identities, but you can add a password to your email folders. To do this, right click on the folder, select the Properties option, and somewhere in there, you can add a password to the folder, so it cannot be opened without entering the password.

135110 2003-04-11 23:48:00 That's rather like when I used a keylogger to get my sisters MSN password. That was three years ago, of course. Back when I was interested in things like that. It's not so interesting now. agent (30)
135111 2003-04-11 23:57:00 Agent: Yes, but the point was: "Do unto others as you would have done to yourself", or in this case, "Don't do to others as you don't like having done to yourself".

Anyway Tim, if you use Hotmail and check your emails on the web rather than downloading into Outlook they won't be able to perve any more then, will they?

So you are still doing it then? ;-)

It is amazing how many people do this kind of thing. :D

People who promote the dark side are very likely to get banned from PF1, along with serial privilege abusers.

I thought Tim would have known better by now.

Cheers

135116 2003-04-12 02:19:00 Hey Billy, how is anyone going to get banned from the forum?

They can just log in with another name I would have thought and re-register again
