134937 2003-04-11 01:54:00 Mine's MSN Messenger - however I've started using Yahoo more and more lately - their emoticons are so cool!

Also have ICQ, AOL (can't figure out how to use it LOL!), and mIRC - anyone else know of this program?

134939 2003-04-11 02:07:00 Im gonna say I use ICQ Lite the most, Then the proggy Ive made called QwikChat (3.02), then I use MSN sometimes too, but not as often seeing as Im on a slow connection and so sometimes the messages dont go thru - And I have no idea if Im getting all the messages too - Which is why ICQ Lite is good (Always go thru - even if they take a lil longer), and Qwik Chat is good for Low-Bandwidth situations too, Im quite proud actually ;-) Chilling_Silence (9)
134940 2003-04-11 02:14:00 I do not really have a favourite chat program,

I like using MSN messenger
&
Yahoo messenger
(The reason why I am using yahoo messenger is because you can use the web cam & sound feature which is better then msn messenger & also web cam & sound future came in handy during the Louis Vuitton & America's Cup :) that is all I am going to say… :D

I also have ICQ as well

(The only reason why I am using it (ICQ) is because it is useful if you have friends on it as well & because of a course I did with AUT called Web Alive, asked us to have a look at it and have a chat with fellow students, which never happened ;))

134945 2003-04-11 02:42:00 One vote for Trilliian (www.trillian.cc) for me. Also Gaim (http:).

Only thing better than those is will be my one when I get around to writing it.

134946 2003-04-11 02:52:00 for instant messaging (eg one on one, or upto a few people):
MSN
ICQ lite - I cant stand the full version, never have liked ICQ actually. But I have friends and workmates who INSIST on using ICQ so I have to cater for that. Did use Miranda for awhile and that was an ok client.
Trillian is a pain in the arse to start off with, but once you get it all setup and configured its a great application.

For chat (eg 5+ people)
Direct Connect
I used to use mIRC but I got sick of it - IRC is archaic and full of security flaws. A flatmate uses it religiously and you should see some of my smoothwall (http://www.smoothwall.org) logs - full of entries that are all IRC related
