| 135223 | 2003-04-13 10:09:00 | > this thread has gone completely off topic... Yeah, I'm disappointed that I was referred to out of the spirit in which I made the post - so much personal stuff against each other is a shame. I left off responding to any more posts since my last one, but I'll make this my last. *I don't hate Xtra. I detest their management personnel that are responsible for the "draconian" conditions they try to implement toward their customers. I'm not alone in being aware that they, and/or their parent company and subsidiaries have far too much control over the New Zealand public's communications interests. This includes an excessive amount of control, potentially, over even our own military. *I brought Xtra's new terms and conditions to this forum's attention (and also to the New Zealand's public) attention, maybe first) - which are definitly an IT industry newsworthy item (refer IDG, NZHerald and Aardvark), as a typical subject found on this forum. *It's a shame to be so personally insulted by some posters in this forum - it's an ongoing theme in this industry I find, to "flame" people. Pitiful. *Thanks to those that have witheld their criticism of myself, in favour of just adding their own opinion to the subject; whether they agree with my point or not. |

Try updating modem drivers perhaps, or set the port limit to something such as 49000bps? |

| 135225 | 2003-04-13 12:21:00 | I will be honest connecting to Xtra has never been a problem with anyone I support but I still think they are over priced compared to many other ISP's. I do not understand why you can not afford to go elseware because there are so many cheaper options. |

Ummm Greg . . . . . . . Didn't you say something about me needing to visir a therapist, when I said your original post was boring? That was quite insulting . Don't snivell into your hanky buddy . All I said was that your post was boring, but you chose to hurl an insult . As usuall, you have selective memory . Grow up |

So I'm dismayed that you don't appear to be showing the behaviour you expect of other people . Everybody go for a long walk . |
