| 135187 | 2003-04-12 06:12:00 | Installed Spybot today from the April CD but when it stopped me accessing Mailwasher decided to uninstall it. Now every time I start my computer a window appears that says Runner Error Invalid BackWeb application id 137903 How can I get rid of this? Thanks Olly |

| 135189 | 2003-04-12 06:37:00 | Also, if you re-install spybot make sure you go settings-filesets and untick usage tracks. This is what can cause some problems. | Pheonix (280) | ||

| 135191 | 2003-04-13 05:56:00 | Another method of attack if you don't have any luck. Download jv16 powertools and run registry tool-tools-registry cleaner and when the first screen comes up, untick show ignored entries and carry on. Been using for 6 months by deleting everything it comes up with and haven't had a problem. Also you can go to registry tools and under the functions heading click on startup. It shows everything and you can untick to find your problem..then tick it to restore it. | Pheonix (280) | ||

To look at the Startup with msconfig, go to Start > Run and then type in msconfig and click OK. Then click on the startup tab and look for references to Backweb. Remove the ticks beside any you find. Click OK and reboot the PC. When Windows loads again, you will see a message about using Selective Startup so just tick the box to say "don't show message again" and then click OK. I was unsure if this is what you actually tried when you said it wasn't in the Start Menu. Jen :-) |
