| 134984 | 2003-04-11 01:02:00 | I've got this old Macintosh Performa 5400 computer, with a PowerPC CPU somewhere in between 100 MHz and 200 MHz with 16 MB ram and a 1.6 GB HD. (and an 8X CD-ROM drive.) What sort of linux distro would be good for that? The latest version of yellow dog linux? any others that would be suitable? |

Try a google search for "Performa 5400 linux". :D I haven't followed the 68k and PPC ports, so I don't know how much memeory they like. But I bet there's a lot of pople out there who do know. | Graham L (2) | ||

I was just wondering, what are the minimum requirerments for earlier versions of mandrake (or redhat...)? I noticed that they have mandrake 9.1 PPC version, would earlier versions be available in PPC format? |
