135442 2003-04-13 08:37:00 Problem:- Success rate of sending attachments is less than 5% of attempts.
System: Windows XP; OE 6; 56 KB modem.
Problem experienced only with jpg attachments, not .doc or .xls.
Occurs with files irrespective of size( ie ~40 KB upwards). Transmission starts, and proceeds at reasonable rate (3-5KBS) then stops. After a time out following message:-
“Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'jpg tests', Account: 'WORLD-NET', Server: 'smtp.world-net.co.nz', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F”
Despite the message; connection is not terminated; there is no network; the ISP (world-net) cannot provide a solution, and there was no period of inactivity.
Any ideas?

135443 2003-04-13 08:54:00 This is often associated with having Nortons Antivirus software.
See Microsoft solution here (support.microsoft.com)
