| 135401 | 2003-04-13 05:15:00 | I have a friend who waht to get a new hard disk just for his swap file. he want to run the new drive on it's own IDE controller so as to get the maximum speed out of the swap dirve. he wants a drive with very low(lowest) access speed with out going above 7200 Rpm he thinking is that the faster the OS can get data to and from the drive then the faster windows will open large programs and such like. any one know of a drive that might do this?? NOTE: he thinks that a Seagate Baracuda V , ATA 100, 7200 rpm, 2048k cache is a ok but would like better. thanks |
