| 135799 | 2003-04-14 22:00:00 | I own an old Viewsonic E70 17" CRT Monitor that I have not been able to find drivers for. Somehow my little brother has managed to change the refresh rate to above what the screen can handle. Now whenever I start up the Computer when I get into Windows the screen just flicks off into standby mode. I was wondering whether there was a way I could reset the screen refresh rate/resolution on startup without taking it to a repair shop. Btw- Im running Windows XP Home and my video card is a Geforce 3 Ti 200. |

The first screen that appears with the white line across the bottom has a prompt at the very start saying Press F8 for Advanced Options, hit that and then boot into safe mode. This should allow you to change things as needed, then reboot normally. | TerryW (2183) | ||
