I'm using Windows XP Pro and have a problem where by sometimes the nice helpful we "ballons" which show up when you hover over a system tray icon sometimes come up under the taskbar and other times they come above the task bar. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Happens with task bar on auto hide or not on auto hide. |

All I can confirm is, that it happens here as well. Always has, even on a new install. It appears to be more prevalent when the CPU is busier with other tasks? |

Can't say I've noticed it. Though I find that, sometimes, the little description window that you get from holding something over an icon (eg. "5863214 bytes received 1133763 bytes sent @ 48000 bps" from the dialup icon) appears behind the taskbar instead of infront. |

Well I'm glad to see that some other people are having the same problem as me. |

I used to get the same thing happening on my WinME machine. As GF has mentioned, it does seem more prevalent when the CPU is busy. I normally saw this happening when I fired up Outlook Express and whilst that was loading, tried to check my connection speed by hovering over the connection icon on the taskbar. |
