| 135657 | 2003-04-14 04:17:00 | I wish to transfer my address book from my win 98 PC to my new and lovely (so far) XP laptop. Should I save to a floppy in WAP or csv? And why the preference? Thanks for your assistance. I know I have plenty of questions - answers are my problem. dumb-bell |

| 135658 | 2003-04-14 04:28:00 | You don't mention if the address book is Outlook or Outlook Express. If it is Outlook Express I would save it twice, call me paranoid. Floppy disk, open your address book and using your shift key select the first and last entries and copy and paste to the floppy, this is for insurance value. Open Outlook Express and click on the address book icon, file, export, export address book(wab), follow the prompts and and save to your floppy drive. To import back into Outlook Express as above but file, import, import address book(wab) and follow the prompts and browse to the floppy. If it is Outlook, not to sure as I cannot quite recall off hand and I don't have it on this system to check. |
