135932 2003-04-17 00:11:00 I am with Net4U also, the past few days it has been very slow, virtually unusable. They sent out an email recently (to your net4u email address) detailing the problem - seems they got screwed by telecom when telecom changed their policy or something and gave net4u very short notice. However, everything is starting to come back to normal finally. I don't think this problem is entirely the fault of net4u, but then I have found the net4u tech support to be very poor and would not recommend them to most users. However they have a really good deal for flat rate 128k jetstream ($30/mth + telecom charges). richardg (3606)
135933 2003-04-17 00:30:00 e3 (http://www.e3.co.nz) has always been good for me. Get a generous discount coz it's for a small rural library $120.00.pa. unlimited. Very rarely get booted off and very rarely have problems connecting.
Cheap and good.
Check it out.

135934 2003-04-17 04:30:00 richardq; to be honest I'm not sure what to believe with these guys; personally I always thought it strange that I was logging in to my jetstart account with name@jetstream.faster.net.nz instead of jetstart.faster.net.nz... TerryW (2183)
135935 2003-04-17 04:50:00 Because telecom's RAN has to know which ISP it should send for your authentication.

Say my id is asdf@adsl.ihug.co.nz. then RAN will send your request to
IHUG's radius server to authenticate you.

Hope it helps.

135936 2003-04-17 06:12:00 Regards iNet/Snap plan, my parents are with them, $20 for 280hrs but there is no surcharge for going over that figure so it is in effect unlimited.

They also have Jetstart for $35 month unlimited/no cap
