136228 2003-04-16 07:59:00 Hey
On my old computer - 233Mhz, 64MB Ram, 2GB HDD and a 4GB HDD Partitioned into 2x 2GB partitions, I have been unable to do anything with this machine.
I have tried installing Windows 98 and that hasn't been working, I can get it up to copying files (10% done), but that's it, and I can get Windows95 fully installed, except come boot time it just freezes once it has all the devices listed from BIOS (with their com ports). With a little luck I've been able to get into Windows at random times, but come reboot it gets stuck again, and on my attempt to Install RedHat 9.0 I could tell it I wanted to use the graphical interface, and then it said loading *name of RH Installer*, then froze on that...

Any Idea's what's going on??
Thanks

136229 2003-04-16 08:28:00 I guess something like this could be a number of things. I would start with the RAM - if your 64MBytes is two sticks try using 32Mbytes at a time to see if one stick is faulty. JohnD (509)

136231 2003-04-16 08:41:00 check ur fat system. i had a similar issue with NT4. i had fat32 but nt4 did not support that.
